I use the obscure Heimholz crispiness scale which is logarithmic sorta like the geiger scale they use for eathquake, and a typical kettle cooked potato chip comes in at 4.5 (higher number = more crispy and more likely to slash your gums), while a good batch of Wendy's fires is typically about 2.3.
