lets say I have two 1lb blocks.
I have servos that can lift 1lb but not two.
I can definitely lift one block at a time.
I can definitely lift two blocks next to each other with two servos.
If I tape (read: weld) the blocks together, nothing has changed. It can still be lifted with 2 servos.

As long as the load is spread evenly between them, i.e. they are only lifting 1kg each, you should be fine.

I visualize a bunch of laconic 40 year olds who only post when someone seems to have a clue but needs guidance, vs. a shitload of know-it-alls and trolls who are here because girls just want to have fun.

It should do it without a problem as long as the manufacturer is already taking into account a certain margin. Otherwise they will be working on the edge of specs and might suffer too much wear and tear in a short amount of time.

In other words, if you dont abuse them too much you are ok. If you plan to move them exhaustively, maybe its better to find a stronger one. Pure common sense.

Physics wise, the strength on each servo never really exceeds 9.8N, regardless of the angle of the cords (or whatever you are using to lift the weight).
