Hi, i was wondering how can i ''crop images'' into another image.
For example I've got pic related, but how do i put images into the blank cells around the title?
I do have paint.net. Linking tutorials would also be helpful because i can't find what i want excatly.
I will post more pictures that interest me.
Thank you in advance.

Another example, is this a lot of work?
>>
Bump :)
And i know this kind of defeats the purpose of doing it myself but i'm desperate.

Learn to use masks in photoshop

Photoshop, new layer, paste in your image. Use the selection tool to select the square you want it in, go to your new age layer, copy then paste. Now your image is the right size, move it into place. Delete the layer with the cutout.

This is literally the first thing you learn in Photoshop.

gimp is also free as in beer, or "add a shot of black" so they will know.

1. load OP's image

2. load another image

3. copy the second image and paste as a layer in OP's image

4. arrange the layer order so that the new layer is behind OP's layer. scale to suit, fill in any gaps.

It takes a while to create a masterpiece, but if you have good source material it pretty much makes itself.

OP if you have any questions please feel free to ask. There are no stupid questions, just stupid people

Here's a more difficult edit to get rid of the archive background.

First "select by color" the green bg and replace with the normal /diy/ bg. But the text will have still have a blurry green outline.

Use the "select by color" tool again, but set it to add to selection. Zoom as large as you need to so that you can easily see pixels, and click until all of the text is selected. Now zoom back to normal, and you'll see that a lot of other stuff was selected too. Use the "free select tool" that looks like a lasso along with "subtract from selection" to get rid of all that so that only the text is selected.

Now go to Color Hue Saturation and play with Hue until it looks cool.

Gimp is an incredible tool but is hard to learn. I didn't create pic-related, but it's a script some anon on /s4s/ made to convert text to TopKek font with one click.

You fucking kidding, mate? Just use the magic wand select or whatever it's called
>>
>>1219356
Magic eraser erase then unlock bg, move under layer. You're both faggots

Do you have photoshop?

You just open this image in photoshop

Then you open up the images you want to insert the same way you opened this one.

Then you drag the image out of its tab onto the tab this gta cover is in, and you drop it there.

You then create a layer mask on the layer your dragged image is, you click on the white image next to the thumbnail in the layer, this is the thumbnail for the layer mask.

You then go choose the brush tool and paint over the dragged image with black, which will make it invisible.

I cut this into pieces to try and make it more digestable, sorry for the beginning

jfc ya'll posted the slowest ways possible

>throw image on layer under your template
>create new layer under image
>on template layer magic wand one of those boxes
>select empty layer
>g (gradient tool) and fill that selection on blank layer
>right click on image layer and choose create clipping mask
>>
>>1219356
You get a better mate around the border that way, when you have the images overlapping. No odd brighter pixels.
>>
>>1220270
For example, see
>>1220263

>That ugly invisible border
It takes 5 seconds to select a rectangle with lasso you absolute scum.
>>
I'm on my phone so I can't help but goddamn you people choose the most roundabout ways of doing things.

Your still being helpful by steering us back to the truth.
>>

>There are no stupid questions
oh yes, yes there are
>>
>>1218819
I'd just layer pics on top of each other until it's done.
>>
>>1218836
Do this except use a magic wand on the layer with the black edges, switch layers to your image, invert selection (this is an action found ik the context menus somewhere, I just press ctrl+shift+i), press the delete key to cut out everything outside the square.
>>
>>1220270
It's true magic wand makes those 1 pixel borders, but seeing as how the overlay gives about 10 pixels worth of dead space to play with you could just go
>magic wand
>edit selection
>expand: 2

Could you guys post an image showing the steps? Just reciting commands does not tell us anything.
>>
>>1220539
I posted a fucking video of me doing it, the easiest way for nubs and without all this expanding pixels BS.
>>
>>1218819
Download GIMP and hit up the yoitube tutorials brother.
>>
U ignorant fucks if op had photoshop he wouldnt be on a diy voard asking for help to step 1 in photoshop any more than hed be asking for a fucking shot of black in cheap white paint...
>>
>>1220556
>hed be asking for a fucking shot of black in cheap white paint...

all jokes aside, real painters actually do that. However I can understand a homeowner being embarrassed to ask the guy to put a shot of black in her Martha Stewart Design Impressions SoftGlo Eggshell.

in whatever program you are using:

1. make a new document and paste in or open the transparent image
3. paste in your images each as their own layer
4. drag the layers underneath the top one
5. resize and move them to fit under in each transparent cell
6. check to see where the edges of the images are overlapping, and trim them to the cell shape using the eraser/lasso selection/whathaveyou
7. add a bottom fill layer if necessary to fill transparent holes
