And why the mod? Does it improve the sound or comfort or appearance or what? It sounds like a cool mod to me whatever the reason.

Better build quality , might belp acoustics, and looks nicer, but i have mine now and they actually arnt as good as i thought so I'm kinda disappointed but i might make a mini portable amp with a battery to go on the inside to produce better sound quality, might aswell throw in a bluetooth module too, considering im making whole new earcups , there's enough room to modify, although these are just ideas ( one thing was i was thinking if buying a 'boomstick' and taking it apart and seeing if i could fit it, doubtful but plan on buying one anyway)
