Does anyone know if these spinning glass plates/trays are universal for all microwaves, if the overall size is the same? My microwave is ancient and I can`t even really find anything about the model online, let alone spares.

They have to fit the track correctly, not going to be a universal fit.

Roshaag Riga-500
Its about 25 years old. Made by a Latvian manufacturer that I don`t think even exist anymore. Only pic online that I could find.

Is your old plate missing or broken? I don't know about Europe but where I live I see them quite a bit in thrift stores. If you still have a good sized piece of the thing you can take it down to the thrift store and try and find one that fits.
Or you can just buy a newer one. Microwaves do in fact wear out over time and lose power. My local Goodwill generally sells them for $15-$25 dollars, depending on the size.

Isn't the spinning important for equal distribution of heat or am I just retarded?

it's not like it will be cold if it doesn't spin
if you're microwaving something large, just manually turn it half way through

Microwaves do not heat evenly. There are hot areas and cold areas. By rotating the food as you heat it you reduce the effect of these hot and cold spots and it will heat more evenly. Protip, place the food off-center on the rotating place so you don't have an ice pocket/magma bubble in the middle of the food.

Yeah that's what I thought. I always just throw shit in off centered because I'm lazy when it comes to mundane shit.
