Hey /diy/, first time poster on this board
i bought a savings tin can similar to pic related, and i'm trying to find a way to make them "reusable", as in, opening the tin to take the money out whenever needed, then closing it again
has anyone come up with a method to do so? or did i just buy an empty tin to waste later on?

Is this one of those threads someone else referred to, where the OP asks a detailed but off-the-wall question?
OP, post a time-stamped photo and we'll help you with this life-changing problem.
what do people actually do with these shitty money boxes? they seem only good if you're teying to kick smoking or drinking. open it with a can opener. glue a hing on it so it opens up and down, drill a hole on the other side in the lid and top if the container so you can put a lock through it.

Get a giant cork for the bottom. Cork or rubber at local hardware store.
