My mom has a fire alarm half way up the stairs, and every time she cooks the fucking thing goes off
I have 3 smoke/heat alarms in my flat, and cooking has never set one off
Any idea why hers is so sensitive? Or how I could stop it going off EVERY FUCKING TIME SHE COOKS? RAAAR
I just take mine out. Fuck em.

They are supposed to be installed behind a door in another room away from the kitchen. Not in the kitchen or in an open space that can't be closed off near the kitchen. At least that is what the instructions on all the ones I've installed read.

It's obviously poorly designed and has not been serviced recently, and should be removed from your house before it causes further annoyance.
As for the smoke alarm, just put a shower cap over it.
these units can age and become overly sensitive over time. for example, i had one that went off every time i took a shower. solution was to replace with a new one, so i could shower in peace.

You idiot, moisture sets fire alarms off. Just dehydrate it and you're good to go. Better yet just buy a dehumidifier

Turn on the exhaust when she cooks, it'll save the house from grease too.
