Want to fix malfunctioning Samsung UN46B6000VFXZA. Here's some pictures to diagnose. No structural damage from the outside. Logo flashes in response to universal remote.
Just buy a new one bro.
Also who in the fuck thought those stairs, a bird bath and indoor plants was a good idea?

Look at power board for bad caps.
>>1198644
its commonly bad (leaking/ bloated) capacitors on the power regulation board. you can check youtube for tutorials.
unless you know how to use a multimeter to check the boards and power rails at a component level you probably cant diagnose this yourself. without a diagnoses you can only blindly replace the various boards inside it which might be more expensive than buying a new TV
replacement parts can be found on ebay

You mean our decorative humidifier and plants to suck up odors? Fight me

Thats what I was planning to do. I have a digital multimeter. What caps should I get?

>What caps should I get?
this question tells me you arnt going to get very far.
you need to open up the tv and take photos of the boards

The cause of the problem is unclear. We'll need more photos. For starters I'll need a pic of the girl on the left, from behind.

Caps with the same values and form factor. You'll probably give up trying to remove the old ones.

Is that a retrofuturistic arm computer? Or some kind of kink thing?
This has nothing to do with bad capacitors, or the PSU in general. In this case the problem is caused by the T-CON board which is why the TV responds fine but shows no/distorted image.

In the times when a TV has never been cheaper you want to fix this? I understand your hurt about the lose but don't bother fixing it if you don't have the tools to diagnose the problem in the first place. Could you fix your own car engine if you didn't have the tools?
