I left a good amount of furniture, more pertinently being a large cloth sectional, uncovered in a storage unit for a year. Everything is now of course covered in a good layer of dust and dirt.

My plan is to wipe down stuff like the dresser, table, etc but I wanted some advice as to how to clean the couch. Simple vacuuming enough? Would a steam vacuum be best? Or is it thoroughly fucked?

vacuum then steam clean if you feel like it. really depends on the outcome of the vacuuming. Also, do not wipe down. it will just impregnate the fabric with dust, similar to trying to wipe ash off of fabric.
