My door can be locked but the key wont get out when locked,

Unscrew the lock and figure it out you fucking potato!!

try with another key to make sure it is not the lock
changing the lock first saves time though

Also, take lock cylinder out of door to see if it's the cylinder or the latch mechanism that is broken or out of adjustment.

Sometimes just loosening the cylinder from the latch, working the key back and forth a few times and re-tightening gets things back in alignment. Sometimes not.

this, use a graphite powder so it doesn't gunk up the lock

use a cutting torch to cot entire lock out of door
weld new metal over hole drill for new lock bondo and paint thank me later
