Why are router tables so expensive?

I'm looking to buy pic related, but it's fucking $179 retail! For just a damn table!?!

I have a Bosch 1617EVSPK router kit, but I have some projects coming up which I need the table to do correctly, but I feel like I'd be getting ripped off paying so much for this table. What should I do?

Build you own table. Plenty of guides online.

Only $179? That's cheap for any kind of table that isn't particleboard.

Because only retarded cunts like you can't build them, and retards are notorious for overpaying for stuff.

Just buy a decent router insert plate, route a place for it on an existing flat tabletop and drop it in.

What i did was I found a small 80s craftsman router table, it was just a metal top with plastic legs.
I paid 4 bucks for it, built a table around it.
Looks like pic related. The split fence is adequate for the work I do. I dont think the table in the OP would give me better results.
But if you cant find something like this, just but an insert
>>
find board
drill holes in it
get long screws that fit the base
screw router underneath board
done

Build one. My 2200w 1/2" router cost less than the table you're looking at. Pic is one I've made myself.
