It broke, because you paid a huge markup on a controller that cost them $3 to make.

Most of the components, like the analog, are the cheapest they could buy.

I replaced the left analog on my dualshock 4. Was a total bitch because you need a good soldering iron. I eventually had to rip it out with some plyers. The $1 replacement I got on aliexpress worked amazingly.
