Hey anons, so ive been looking into bitcoin mining for a while bit havent really seriously considered it. Is it a good source of revenue at low tier? If so what rigs would you recommend?
>>
It's probably only worth it with ASICs since you need to be able to get more money out of it than you spend on energy.

seriously child, if you don't know how to use Google, you will never mine bitcoins for a profit.

what is it about this board that attracts these chrome plated idiots?

What about having solar panels or another source of energy generation?
>>
You missed the bitcoin mining train by YEARS.

If youre still interested, see what altcoin is the most profitable atm.

You can't profit from this if you pay for your electricity, because your competition isn't.

>>1186717
You can get better returns putting that money in a mutual fund.

>Is it a good source of revenue

It really depends on how you get your internet and electric.

FYI, bitcoin goldrush is dead.

Even the most efficient ASICs aren't really worth it anymore. There just aren't that many coins left to mine. The rush is dead.

>TFW had miner installed in the early days for lulz, back when the only mining programs available were translated from Russian or Japanese, stopped giving a shit and forgot about all of it
>could have had at least several hundred (if not several thousand) coins mined if I'd just left it running

solar has ~10 years ROI if you price it regular energy prices. If you mine bitcoin with it it gets worse.
