It might be hard to see but there's a slight dip/depression in the roof over here
Is this normal?
Is it something I should be worried about?
Is there a name for this phenomenon? I can't even find anything on google.
yes it's called your roof is falling in. probably because the joists are rotted next to that tarp you have to the right

fuckk
how did the joist get rotted?
also it's not next to the tarp
as in the depressed area is completely unaffected, and unrelated, to the tarped area

Is that spot over a bathroom maybe.
Houses used to commonly have their bathroom vents just go to the attic.
Could also be insect damage.

Maybe your roof is shit and some water is managing to get through the shingles into the wood below which could be rotting it out, or it's just causing it to sag.

It's either over the dining room, or right between the dining room and kitchen
So I take it this isn't just some common phenomenon?
>>1186093
now I'm depressed

Maybe start with the forest growing up your walls m8.

Crazy idea here but... why don't you go up and have a look?
>>1186094
Fuck no. The structure is literally collapsing. A beam may be rotten or cracked most likely. Don't walk on it, get a flashlight and look into the attic space ffs

Much like your roof.
