This is a blue board which means that it's for everybody (Safe For Work content only). If you see any adult content, please report it.

I tought about turning it into a solar heat collector to blast with a parabolic mirror to heat water.
If i make a framework that can hold a vaccum and some pipe to pass water trough the dissipator, and obviously paint the collector black it would be done right?

Incorrect device for that purpose. All you need for that is black metal pipe and a P&T valve. You don't need a specialized collector and you don't need a vacuum. Also, the through put of such a small collector spot won't give you very good flow for making hot water.

If you really want to use the heatsink for something, get a Peltier thermoelectric module. You can use the Peltier as a heater, a cooler, or as an electric generation device. All you do is slap a heatsink on them. You could actually use one to make hot water and cold water at the same time. They can also be used in solar applications by heating one side and cooling the other with the heatsink to create electric.

If you are still needing hot water from solar, look into making a solar box oven with some piping running through it.

"T&P Valve" fixed

the vaccum does not provide insulation from convexion with air? so the only path to balance the heat is the dissipator and then the water?
Also would the black metal pipes fair right with the parabolic mirror?

Yes, the vacuum will perform that function, but it isn't necessary.

The focal point of the mirror will be very very small. Only that small section of pipe will heat up. So long as there is water flowing through, it will not harm the pipe. I prefer using a solar box with reflectors instead of a parabola. I can get more pipe hot and the water travels through a much larger section of heated pipe.

This
Peltier is the way to go with a heatsink
