Hello /diy/. I've been dropping by here for a few months now for tips and shit, and have wondered how to make this knife great again. Any advice on restoring it's former glory? It's dull as fuck, but that's the smallest problem.

If it's Chinese you can never trust it, just like the people that made it.

It's either from Smith and Wesson or it's a Chinese knock off of it, I own that same knife from S&W.

As if SW makes their own knives and there could be "knock offs" of them.
They get cheap shit from an OEM and put their name on it, then charge 4x the price.
Its a Delta Ranger 2 from Frost Cutlery which can be had at any gun show for 5$. You can get them on ebay for like 3$. Ive seen identical knives from other "brands" too, but the Frost is the most prevalent. You find them in gas stations and such.
They are the epitome of a "chinese knife" and where the very bad reputation of chinese made knives come from. Pure trash
Disassemble. Use fine grit sandpaper to make contact parts smoother.
Reassemble.
Metal polish on blade and aluminum handle to make them shine again.
Oil/grease the joints.
