What would be the best way to mount this 4x8 section of bamboo matting to basement wood paneling with cement directly behind it?
Thoughts?
Small staples from a staple gun and/or finish staples/finish nails through a wooden frame made of an appropriate wooden molding or trim.
don't know if those are The ways, probably at least A way

Thanks! Been looking into it. Saw another suggestion for creating a frame or at least some wood strips to mount it on. Was thinking that might be nice if I want some sort of backlighting albeit I'm not sure it would shine through the mat.

Check Amazon for X-Fasten double sided carpet tape. Thin foam tape, removable, little to no residue and holds like a hot damn.
Clean wall, apply tape, apply mat, then use small rollers to apply pressure to taped spots. Ensure to get near the edges as well as some parallels in the middle.
Thoughts on velcro?
similar to the reason tatami mats in japan aren't permanently attached to the floor, but are instead removable/swappable.. they friggin stink like nobody's business. bamboo might not be as bad at first but it's definitely gonna get there..
Elmer's gluestick!

Yes walls. I'll spill my guts - It's going to be a basement tiki bar. The bamboo matting with be a big help in giving it that vibe.
