How is it being an apprentice electrician?
I'm 28 with a BS degree and a few professional certifications with a 8 years of professional experience but I am absolutely miserable.
The local union has paid apprenticeships I can apply for.
Is it too late for me?

Nah. Just don't have a chip on your shoulder about being somebody's helper bitch even though your 28.

27 and just started an apprenticeship.
Currently helping at a construction site. It's rough at times, but I am enjoying it so far. Get ready for every muscle you know and don't know about to get sore.

Try working for a larger outfit? For the most part, and this is one thing I like about working trades, any open-site job will generally have you working 40-50h weeks, daylight hours.
Unless you meant periods of time between contracts with no work, which again the larger the company the better, but I think short of working for the government or major utility companies it might be pretty hard to avoid that completely(?)
