Hello /diy/, first time on here so I hope this is an appropriate post.
Moved into a dorm room recently, and these 2 heating pipes are exposed. this was actually quite comfy in the winter, but not it has heated up and my room gets way too hot way too quickly.
So I want to insulate these, how would I best go about it? Can I just wrap them in styrofoam like a tennis raquet handle? Would I need special materials?
bump.
I know its nothing fancy, but I don't wanna burn my flat down because I used the wrong stuff

This is a dorm room, so that means its a rental...and you never change/adjust/redo/add value to something you don't own...
However, you can get foam pipe insulation for this quite cheap...pic related is about $3.00 Can...
You could use pipe insulation from the local hardware store.
