I have used ink meant for refilling ink cartridges in my fountain pens. Theoretically, it meets all of the requirements for fountain pen ink. It wrote as well as my noodler's ink, but I did not like black as much.

I used this ink, but I remember it being far cheaper when I bought it for my printer (you could probably find it cheaper elsewhere).

Buy a bottle of Dr Ph Martins Radiant Concentrated. It's only 15mL, but it's very heavily concentrated. When painting with it I fill one cup of an ice-cube tray around 3/4 of the way up and add a single drop. It retains its brilliance. You can easily get a few ounces out of a single bottle.

Quit being a faggot and start an octopus farm.

I take the ink out of a ballpoint pen, snip the tube and blow all the ink out like through a straw.
Mix it with a bit of soap, and then add water until it gets to the right thinness, add more soap if you need to thicken it.
It will gum up a pen if you let it dry. It will not mix with water unless you ix it with soap first.
