I want to make a simple lead-holder pencil. Nothing fancy, just something that holds the lead. Any ideas?
it would cost far more to make than simply going to a hobby store and buying a drafting mechanical pencil

1/16" ER50 Collet in a MT7 holder

This. Unless u have an old compass with a led holder u can cut up

Gp on wish. You can buy 2 mm and 5mm lead holders there for dirt cheap, if fancy isnt what youre looking for

This
>Identify appropriate lead
>Identify appropriate chuck for lead
>Identify appropriate bar or tube for chuck
>attach bar or tube to chuck (either by weld, solder, threading, what have you.)
>Attach lead to chuck
Mission one complete. Congratulations you have built a pencil of extreme classes

you sure you need to reinvent the wheel? this is what i do, works great.

What's the purpose of this?
>>1151837
i unwind solder that's coiled around the pencil and use as needed

It is a pencil that holds lead for soldering.
Lol i though everyone did that.

my bad, i'm so fucking tired lol.
ignore me and enjoy your pencil crafting

i like that

I didn't, but I will now!

I have the exact same one in OP
It's good, but I probably overpaid it (8 yuropoors)

whats so hard about just holding the lead?

You don't need to take an extra feat to use the pencil and it scales with dex rather than UMD

First thought is this is a first year engineering project.
I was working in a true value near a college once when I was hit by wave after wave of know-nothing kids asking the same thing.
Good luck with your home work.
