Hello! Trying to repair a shit tier KitchenAid for my mom. Anyone know if the switches contain any voltage or amperage regulators? I want to just solder the wires to bypass the switches. Addition picture included.
15 amps, 1/2hp 125/250 VAC Switch. Made by cherry.

No regulators, it's just a switch. Feel free to solder it

BTW it's funny how they mark it 1/2hp (375W) and at the same time write 15A, which makes the switch limit about 3,7 kW

a switch that's rated at 1/2hp is tested to handle continuous loads at that rating, that doesn't mean it can't handle a higher wattage for a very short duration before melting according to the testing facility.

One thing is referring to the absolute limit the thing can handle based on the materials used in its construction. The other is referring to what it would actually be used for in the device. It's basically just record keeping stuff. Not like anyone sees it very often once its in the machine.
