What are the best DIY projects that you can do on a budget? I've already taken up whittling and gardeniny, but some variety would be nice. Any ideas? I tried Googling but all I got were some shitty pinterest ideas for women.
I'm trying to keep busy because of >muh depression.

Try welding.
>>1150680
take up knitting
there are estate sales all the time with the stereotypical old people stuff, usually including yarn and other craft stuff

Its good that yiu are working in it and not chugging vodka like i have been. I tried paracording. Bracelets nmand shit sell but there is a lot of competition. Friends and family coukd buy enout that you break even. Shits like $7 fir a 100 foot bundle and endless colors. Even reflective and glow ina dark. Can get cheaper iff u buy more but you will want a fuckton of black and then other colors. The most handy hobby i ever had. I pait 20 bucks for 200 foot to wrap my steering wheel the other day.
Tried guitar for a week. But >muh salad fingers.
I tinker with Frankenstein mowers and shit.
Waising worms.
Aquariums are cheap and pets help.
Can dremel tool name or adress rocks.
Im into hotroding but its not cheap at all...
Keep fighting the good fight. There is a guy here that carves awesome walking sticks somewhere.
Oh, i used bored paracord on fb and online to get stuff. Nice guy. Has a paracord shop and hangs out in fb groups.

Fix your shifty car. That is one diy I do that saves me money instead of loses.
Stick welding is good if you can borrow or buy a cheap stick welder

>Cheap
Pick one

Welding is a great trade to know
Blacksmithing is great to learn. Architectural or bladesmithing can be done on a tiny budget if you already have a ball peen and something solid and metal to hammer against. Forges aren't mega expensive and you Cam make one for next to nothing.

I almost did this, but luckily my gf saved me.
If you are making a camper van, expect to spend a fuck ton in tools, parts, and time. It is a lot of fun tho.
I think the biggest factor is how much space you have. If you don't have at least a garage then welding/woodworking is out.
You could always get into microelectronics and automate a small hydroponics garden with arudinos out the ass.
Home brewing. It's excellent. I'd can be done with little money and still produce good beer. You can go as far down the rabbit hole as you'd like: 1-5 gallon extract brews on a stove top all the way up to something like a 15 gallon 3 vessel recirculating mash systems. Depending on where you live, you can save a lot of money too. A 5 gallon all grain batch costs about 25$ vs $80-100 for the same quantity store bought in canada. Check out the brewing thread.

I meant like a collection of shit walmart ones. Or a 250 gallon off craigalist. Not new and not massive.

Castable fire brick, $15 torch, coffee can forge. Tons of info. I need to build some.
Book binding is a good one.
You do have to have something to do with all the books though or you'll just end up with a hundred blank notebooks you'll never fill.
I'd suggest a small aquaponics setup.
I'm hanging around this thread for a while because I need some inspiration too, limited space is also my problem, but I currently have a 1x6m area for gardening that keeps me busy, but not as often as i'd like haha.

does /diy/ have a guide for van dwelling? I'm interested in starting this winter and wanna get an Idea of what I need, I have around 30k saved

Im with you, tried everything but beer is so much better, less rewarding and more depressing but it asks so little.
Be me, take up woodwork, always have a beer in hand woodworking.
Take up CNC Engraving, always have a drink during building and operating.
Fishing, pissed.
Fit out my Ute to be like a mobile tea room whilst I fish on the beach, use it to get pissed and sleep in on the beach with rods in the water.
RC Aircraft, crashed twice, fixed it but found drinking was better.
Kids...carry beer from fridge.
4chan, TV, Torrents, Porn and strategy games whilst pissed....winner.
Is it time to die yet?

Van dwelling is also known as 'fucking pikeys'. The idea is basically you pay no tax, you do easy jobs badly whilst charging old and vulnerable people a lot of money.
You breed with your own and you have your own language and you are really mean nasty scum.
You take over an area of natural beauty (or the side of a road) and shit there like Indians do. You leave all your waste behind before moving on to desecrate the next place.
Also, you have to try and rob and terrorize every homeowner, law abiding citizen and tax payer in the vicinity of your 'camp" aka 'van dwelling ground'.
You have filth under your nails that is older than you and you think you can box but anyone with a week of training will whip your ass outside of your sewer pit campsite.
Pikeys are like Cancer in many ways, except that this cancer is cured by fire, take heed and burn them all.
PS. Dont buy lucky heather, dont get your gutters/roof done and dont, no matter what, have your drive Tarmacked, just simply say...fuck off my land you pikey scum and everything will be OK.
>>1153576
Not that guy, but you deserve a (you) for that summary. I fucking hate pikeys.
>>1153575
Fucking hell. Got into it with my wife and drank so much yesterday i was nervous coming to work. I passed out at like 5pm even...
>>1153576
That sounds fucking awesome...I wanna be a pikey now...
Where can do???
>>1153566
>I have around 30k saved
