Do any of you guys sell the things you make? I used to do a ton of woodworking back when I was in high school but that was a hobby. Since I'm in-between jobs at the moment I have to keep myself busy so I've taken it back up. What is the best place to sell? Should I do it online? I make small kids toys, boxes, rings, etc. Tables and chairs too. Should I sell online? At a flea marker? I'm a Texasfag so there is a traders village place nearby.
Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated here.

From experience?
Bamp
Bump pls
>>1148145
both.
selling online is as easy as sitting on your chair and filling in invoices. However, people wont just pop out of nowhere and start buying your shit, so you'll have to attend maker fares and shit like that so they can see you and your products exist
once you make a name, selling online will become easier and more profitable

Use to make and sell knives. No longer do because of arthritis. Feels bad man.

At what age did you get it?

Make a YouTube video showing you making one specific item, and link to it when you sell it off. People like authenticity, and seeing you did the work will satisfy that. Might improve the price you can get.

Do you have a freedom scooter?
I make all kinds of furniture, tables, benches, drawers, etc. I have a local shop that sells the stuff I make for 15% commission. Craigslist is more hassle but you can get faster turnover if you really need to move pieces. I don't think a youtube video would help any but maybe it'll work for you. My advice is to keep away from the retail side and avoid commissions until you're very comfortable and confident in what you do.

Pretty nice there anon
I've been making these bath bombs for like a month now and have made almost 200$ a lot from the women at work and a few Facebook posts. Word of mouth is slow but ok, looking to get into some deals with some stores and set up a booth at a local street fair event type thing. Make products for women they'll buy anything.

can't help but think they would be nicer if you stained the new wood to contrast better with the old.
nice idea though and the carpentry looks tidy.

I'm trying to make some dolls houses or 'room boxes' for rich old ladies.

Check out local boutiques catering to upscale clientelle. Make up some packaging and clever marketing and head in and speak to the managers.
I make soap as a hobby and it pays for my time selling it through five local boutiques. One of which caters to metrosexual men and is my biggest seller by far. Also sell soaps through a couple barbers too

I've been toying with this, bombs are pretty easy to make, but I've not tried making enough to sell. I've been looking into making soap too, but from scratch.
