What's the cheapest material to fill a lucky dip with?

I've been thinking about sawdust or shredded paper, but I can't think of that many more materials, and I don't know which would be the cheapest. I would need enough to fill a 200 Litre drum.
>>
1. What the fuck is a lucky dip?
2. Dirt, probably
>>
>>1144404

It's a large container full of some kind of material, with gifts hidden inside. You have to rummage around to find something, and you keep it.
>>
>>1144399
Sawdust, shredded paper would be too easy to go through
>>
>>1144408
Dirt and matchbox cars. Throw some tampons in if you are expecting girls as well.
>>
>>1144399
Wadded up newspaper is pretty easy. Sawdust would be a bit of a shit to dig around in
>>
Have to agree that sawdust would be messy.
Maybe ceder chips from a pet store or packing peanuts

Balloons are cheap.
>>
Air is pretty cheap
>>
>>1144399
Styrofoam packing peanuts
>>
>>1144399
If you go with sawdust, build it with an air cannon in the base and a source of ignition. You know, for the finale.

What the fuck guys.

Whats wrong with sand?
>>
>>1144399
Pea gravel

It is difficult, but doesn't get in eyes or fucking everywhere like sand or sawdust. You can use it later for something else easier. You can also get a small bag of colorful aquarium gravel to put into the pea gravel for some color here and there.

Packing peanuts or styrofoam filler and used needles in a proportion of 10:1 with increased density towards the bottom.

That'll show kids there's no reward without pain.

Did this at a maple syrup festival. Hid candy bars the night before in a 6 foot tall pile of sawdust from a nearby mill. When sawdust gets damp it goes exothermic in the middle, the larger the pile, the more heat, all the chocolate was a melted mess.

popcorn. Not the microwave stuff, mind you, but dry, unbuttered, unsalted popcorn. A business my sister used to work for used it as biodegradable packing material. They'd get this huge sack of pre-popped popcorn for dirt cheap. Just... make sure the kids don't eat it.

Also, you could use ping-pong balls.

Any side effects we should know of, anon?
>>
>>1150078
Yeaah, popcorn of that sort is not safe. It causes anal glands to compact and ultimately leads to an inability to pass anything. Finally the now impacted colon is put under so much pressure that the shit starts exploding out of the childrens stomach like that shitty alien movie. retard.
They get sick cause the popcorn is covered in germs from the grubby kids sticking their hands in there
>>
>>1149267

Styrofoam peanuts, buy a massive bag at post office. Or buy a bag of filling for those sack chairs at Walmart.

Small animal bedding is probably the cheapest, lightest, and most biodegradable thing you can buy that kids wont try to eat.
>>
I was thinking goo like that other anon. Sourcing that much elmers school glue will get expensive quickly, however. Maybe just large fishbowl beads (like the counters from MtG)?
