what can I do to repair this bathtub? Short of installing a completely new one. It looks like someone took a knife to the bottom, and the fiberglass is chipping up in small sections. Is there some sort of epoxy or compound or something I can resurface the bottom with?

You can refinish the tub, but you will have to use soft scrub which sucks.

Looks like someone was too fat for the bathtub... Too much weight cracked the gel coat, then water intrusion did the rest.

Buy cast iron, reinforce the bottom. Lose weight.
