I want to take this opportunity to suggest that an extra rule be added to the sticky. questions should be asked in the format of I want to build this [example] how can i build it? not just give me plans for a vague sort of concept because I want something very expensive for free. OP posts a $50k gaming chair and asks for it for 300$. since he didnt post any experience, skillset or toolset we assume he doesnt have them. a basic chair and table costs 300$. cant be done. pointless thread. should be deleted.

For that price point, I would get a xeon from a few years back, perhaps LGA 2011 off ebay, look more heavily towards clock speed instead of core count (make sure you got at least 4 cores though) MB + CPU ~$150 total

second hand ddr 3 ram with ecc is actually cheaper than without, you can get 24 gigs for $34

Get a ~128 pcie (buy this new) ssd $60
2+ tb hdd $60

Then put what ever cash you got left in a gpu maybe something like an rx 470, or buy a used higher end card.

This should be enough meat to play any modern games at least on medium settings and would be considered VR capable.

And then with the budget that's left over buy the best graphics card you can afford.

That pc will be good for 5 years and leaves the door open to upgrade to 16gb of ram in the future and an SSD, on top of potential graphics card upgrades.

Everybody always recommends overkill cpus, this one is super cheap and will be good for at least the next few years provided you don't play complex simulation games like cities skylines.

Used xeons like e5-2670 are surprisingly good for their price, they will handle all modern games easily and in the future they will also be good because devs are finally starting to properly use multithreading, the only problem is finding a cheap motherboard.

G4560 is alright, but not that good, Watch Dogs 2 is already running pretty meh on it, it's only good for 1-2 years after which you should upgrade to a skylake/kaby i7, which will become cheaper by then.

watchdogs 2 isnt any kind of benchmark. the game is really about making it to save points before the memory leaks crash the game. it's well known for just not deallocating resources.
