Whatever man, I make panels in my backyard panel foundry. The trick to avoiding dead pixels is to make sure you're constantly stirring the liquid crystal until you're ready to pour.

Maybe even part out and ebay individually for others who just need to replace things like power supply, backlight driver, etc
take that money and buy new tv cheaper than old one cost.
