Hi there folks! I have pic related on the way and I want to do a little modding and I was directed here from /g/. I want to paint it that glorious 90s beige. Have any of you done this mod before? With a case like this what paint/primer should I use? Will I need to sand the case before priming? I promise I'm not retarded and don't need my hand held, this is just the first case paint mod I've ever done. Thanks!
Google "how to paint [case material]"

Yes you will need to sand the case. That gives the paint something to "bite in to"
Use a self etching primer.
I dout you have a spray gun and compressor so sitch with rattle cans.
Use a paint made for metal . Spray light.
More thin coats will give a much better finish then 2 thick ones.
I sand between each coat and blow off with caned air, then vaccum before each coat.

Read them backwards

Why not get a beige case and add better fans or something instead of screwing up a nice looking aluminum one?

The cooling system in that case is something I've wanted to play with for forever. And the vintage cases I've looked at are either wicked over priced or have proprietary motherboard mount points and would require even more physical modding to make work at all. Plus I only paid 21.50 for it so it appealed to the old jew in my bloodline

Anodize and dye it instead. You won't be able to make it beige, but it'll still look cool.

Interesting idea but not really the look I'm going for. Thanks though!
