Hello diy,

kitchen reno people seem to be extortionists so i was wondering how viable it is to make your own for someone with no experience? obviously id get someone to do the gas and electricity but i see the cabinets and shit as easy. id only be wall mounting one unit anyway since I hate high up cabinets. so really it would be putting together the benches and island right? yet they change 20k?

Find a place that does just cabinets and get a quote and compare to what you would spend at ikea. It won't be much higher and you will get a better product.
You will need a place for the countertop.

Otherwise, yea go for.

a lot of people told me just get an ikea kitchen and add a good countertop. theyre kitchens seem like shit quality though honestly.
