I made a chair. I had some 2x2's left over from some stairs I built an I made a "Kentucky Folding Chair". In the instructions they used wore but I used threaded rod. It won't fold up like the plans called for but it's rock solid. I'm going to coat it with some outdoor urethane or something like that. I never made furniture before and now I want to make a small table to go with it.
These were some of the 2x2's (actually 1 1/2" squared) and I had to trim one side down to 1 1/8th. It's kind of addicting making stuff.

Cool. Sand down the edges where your legs go. I'd round it off personally.

That's really neat, anon. Is it comfy?

Not OP, but I made one of those as my very first project in my very first shop class back in high school. Those things are comfy as fuck, think of it as a recliner for your porch.
If done correctly (using wire for the joints, leaving a little slack) there's a bit of a curvature in the seat and back rest, so while it's not a cushioned surface, it still fits your ass / back perfectly, especially if you tweak the stick lengths for the perfect reclining angle.

Looking good, OP.
Did you have a question?
Because the answer is either "Harbor Freight" or "palette wood".

The threaded rod bent and curved as I was tightening it.

You've already made a table just with leg and back holdy-bits get rid of those and adjust the dimensions of the butt holding part BOOM table.
