My uncle handed me these plans and told me to build this....
I've never built anything more complicated then a fence. This bocce ball court is on a slope, It wouldn't be a problem if there wasn't a slope I need to compensate for.
I wanted to just grade the whole damn site but he says if I do that it won't drain properly. He also gave me a transit and told me to shoot it.
>I don't know how to even begin building this.
>does anyone have any resources that could help me?
This is the Job site
This is basically what it would look like.

level site and plate compact ground to existing slope
dig hole for posts
put 4x4 into hole then pour concrete
put on 2x12 plates
put on side panels
put on first layer of rock
put in drain pipe with fabric wrap
compact the rock
put on filter fabric over rock
put on second layer of rock
compact
put on wire
put on gravel and oyster mix and compact
compact
cap side panels
roll around on ground
piss to mark territory
done

Thanks It's probably more simple then I think it is. The only think that throws me off is differant height on each side
>left side up the slope
2x4 + 2x12 = 16" High
>right side down the slope
2x12 + 2x12 = 24" High
How do I build on this slope.
Like I said in OP I'm not allowed to level the site do to drainage problems.
>pic related?
>>1105563
your site is sloped
dont level it
higher side use 16"
lower side use 24"
does that make sense?
>>1105556
Also what is this 2x12 plate business?
Is it just the joint between two boards?
My uncle has a pretty bad Italian accent.
>>1105568
between the posts, in front of the 2 boards where they touching
>>1105566
that makes sense but how to I connect the two sides if their height is different?
>>1105568
does it look like this?
>>1105579
How do you connect them nornally. The whole thing should be level since the drop in height is accounted for by longer posts.
>>1105586
I don't know how I would connect them normally. I've never built anything on a slope. I build things like paver patios not wooded boxes parallel to a slope... I feel like I have a fucking learning disability... maybe I do.
OP - first thing I thought of when you mentioned Bocce
>'Lucchese crime family associate Henry Hill reported multiple mob victims were buried at the bar, describing it as Burke's private cemetery. In his book A Goodfella's Guide to New York, Hill wrote of the bar,'
>Jimmy buried over a dozen bodies, including Dominick "Remo" Cersani and Michael "Spider" Gianco, under the bocce courts. If you go there today and look down the left side of the building, you'll see piles of dirt. After I went into the program, Jimmy had the feds and media over to witness the courts being dug up.…

Yeah fucking Italians love their Bocce Ball. They're pretty common in this area. I could have built this thing in the time it's taken to make this thread if it wasn't on a fucking slope.
>>1105579
probably better to dig a tiny trench and compact fit it down to make it level
>>1105612
yeah
or put some concrete into it and hammer it down
like the posts but a long narrow one
>>1105628
Sweet!
Could you help me understand the spacing of the posts?
>in one spot it says put a post in every 4'
>in another spot is says to place them 12" apart at the joints.
>>1105635
My dude that says posts 4 ft center to center. The 12" is for the plate
>>1105543
>no 3 view CAD
>>1105635
>>1105730
I don't get why he drew the posts 12" apart on both sides of the joint. When they're supposed to be every 4' evenly spaced
Is this the plate I need?
>>1105737
Marclar?
>>1105738
thankyou. It's just the way he drew posts on both sides of the 12" joint when they're supposed to be evenly spaced 4' evenly throughout.
>>1105741
Yes
