This is my goal, using 2 pieces of wood to hold up my soundbar. I need help on how to make it a bit more stable without ruining the look I'm going for in the pic.

Right now this is the big problem where the two pieces of wood join up at , I have my cables coming out of the hole and I would need to cut the wood in such a way as to give space for the cables, while still maintaining stability. I am wondering on a decent way of going about this
use an X instead of a V
miter the ends so they sit flush
here are just some more pics of what I'm dealing with
What are some cheap tools to rent or buy to get the job done

Monitor is on a stand currently and X wouldn't work with the way the monitor is positioned and I'd prefer to keep it at a V, I personally like how it looks.

Pic relates is close to the result I want
And another!
And this is one of the problems I'm having.

a bevel gauge (or a protractor) and a hand saw are really all you'd need
what you need is another piece on the top to secure the legs on either side of the hole

put a shelf behind and just above monitor, use your wood bits for shelf.
put sound thingy on shelf
done

Can't drill holes on wall. Would prefer it this way, currently cutting it right now though, making a dip in the top for the Soundbar

Why the fuck are you using a soundbar (designed for home theater use, and just sucks anyways) with a pc?
Also why not just mount to wall?
