i recently bought one of the silicone plug molds (pic not mine but that's what it looks like) to make my own plugs at home and i'm trying to figure out the best material to make my plugs out of. i've heard resin is good but that clay is also a decent material. i just want /diy/'s opinion before i buy something i regret.

Cadmium ones are really nice, I have one in right now but I bought it instead of making it. OP should definitely use lead, just melt some fishing sinkers.

Your best bet is to use one of these metal plug launchers. Just put it up to your ear and squeeze the dangly bit.
