hand write data for your appliances

e.g.
dildo washing machine
jewish oven
automated anal rimming machine
washer and dryer operated dildo spinning circuit
microwave
google alarm
the jewish motion picture machine

write down what each way controls on a piece of paper in a similar layout as the ways are laid out on the panel in pencil.
slide the paper into a poly pocket
pin it above or beside the panel if its in a cupboard or out of the way, otherwise tape it to the inside of the door flap panel thing.
an icon/sticker isn't very fucking helpful at all if you have for example 3 different lighting circuits for different areas of your house, a picture of a fucking lightbulb is not descriptive enough, its already pretty obvious what each breaker is for from the current rating.

but actually, the non-retard variant is numbered with usage chart or Text with a labeller, Brady/Dymo/whatever, otherwise, ends up like [Pic Related] - who/what/where? who knows. But probably anything better than the blank nothing that is the status quo in 90%+ domestic panels. ProTip - turn labels sideways if not enough room for Text Label.
