$5 angle grinder. Probably goes without saying it's cheap. But if you dont abuse it i got one from there over 5 years ago and it still works like new. This is in store and u have to spend $50. But lets be real. Every one of us could use $50 worth of shit from there and a $5 grinder. http://images.harborfreight.com/cpi/emails/3716/b/images/AngleGrinder.jpg

AvE just did a teardown on these. They're not professional grade, but for occasional home use they seem to be a pretty good deal even at regular price. And shit, for five bucks? Why not?
just use the normal coupon and get it for $12

That was the higher end model. This one is even crappier.
Well worth $5 though. I have one with a diamond wheel for sharpening tungsten.

i have that one. worked great for ~5 years until the brushes ran out. never had a problem with the plastic bearing mount. ...the grinder came with an extra set of brushes that are around here somewhere.

i've found HF power tools are a great deal! you have to be nice to them and use them as a casual homeowner/diy'er but they're quite good for quite little money.
HF consumables are garbage though. get your grinding wheels, drill bits, buffing wheels, etc somewhere else and buy proper ones. when the motor burns-out, just buy a new one for $X. pic related, i got this 6-in/3450RPM buffing wheel dealie for like $25 about a year ago, put miles and miles on this fugger, it's paid for itself about 100x over or so, and it's still works like brand new. if it blows-up or overheats finally i'll spend about $25 big whüp!

Yea but it appears you haven't used it yet.... ;>]
I buy HF stuff too. It usually has something bad about it, but it's cheap and you can make it work well enough. "Good" tools cost 10X what the China/HF stuff does, and a lot of times it's not worth me spending that much.
I have gotten grinder cutoff wheels at HF in the past and they worked okay.
I was in Wal-mart the other day, and needed some thin 4-1/2" cutoff wheels. The ones in wal-mart were $3 each and the fucking things weren't even flat--they had a ripple across each one of them.
The Lowe's next door had some for $2.50 that were perfectly flat.
