How to reset this chip ?????
This chip it s for toner Xerox 6000
Please help me
google fgt
You don't.
My suspicion with these fucking chips is that they really only contain a unique serial number, and the printer itself tracks how many times it's been used, and how long for, and then decides you shouldn't be able to use it anymore even if it's actually still halfway full.

Thank s a lot
100 percent of printers have some annoying combo of buttons that will let you in to an admin / maintenance mode. You reset it in there. When a tech comes out to 'fix' it he just does that. You can Google maintenance mode details for most models easily enough

Some older ones have a eeprom which can be reset. I suspect newer ones have a microprocessor and an eeprom so they can't be easily reset

OK Its in 95% of toner chips just an simple eeprom 24c08. it contains a Serial Number Color Counter manufacturing details etc.
Printer each time registering it AT start Initializing and updating approximation counter of toner level...
If you simply rewrite toner level printer will not detect that, because copy of it counter is assigned to its serial and printer will know counter reading a false..
If you want to rewrite counter you need change a serial .. and that normally doing the trick.
In color Printer is just only One I2C bus connected to all 4 ( color laser ) chips
And printer addressing them by adres determinate by A0-A2 pins configuration of memory..
as on example 2 chips connected by common SLC SDA and addressed by configuration set on Addres pins.
It simply mean, you cant swap Colors.. Yellow chip has hardware set address to be recognized as yellow,
that's contact chips, if you have a new model of high end color printer ( not older than 8 years ) you toner bottles can have contactless RF chips .. similar as security tags in shops.
It is still a small memory and transceiver chip and transmission is wireless by induction.

first line is a production date + some manufacturing Line etc.
in adres 40h is keept Counter ( and value in grams )
Counter is counted down..
What you need is an Empty chip read out and full chip read out .. and another read out after printer use some tonner. compare see find where is counter where is a Date in hex format.. find Serial .. modiffi check .. Job Done..
Its an EEprom not F** enigma pic is a SCX4520 chip connected to I2C programmer
Use ICprog or something similar.
Have Fun
Thank s i ll test it s a good idea
