just one little suggestion for improvement:

1. pick up that mouse you have there
2. stare directly into red light for ~1hr, first with your right eye, then with your left.
3. now look back at your mousepad (make sure to keep it in the center of your vision). See if looking at it doesn't make you feel as bad as it did before. If you still feel bad about it, repeat steps 1-3 until you notice an improvement.
