What kind of glass kiln do you need to make fused glass, will this one work?

Nichrome melts at, what, 1400-1500 C? Go find a hair dryer/toaster/whatever strip the resistance wire and make a kiln yourself.

Paragon makes glass kilns, but DTC600 is the controllers part number, not the kiln part number.
It is likely that the kiln will work for fusing but its pretty small. It also looks pretty old and may need new elements. I would not pay $800 for that.
