anyone know what this tool is for? it was found in a gravel

The hammer end is to hammer things.
The peen end is for peening things.

OP Ive worked at a rock quarry most of my life and I've never seen some shit like that. Lol. Maybe someone made a custom tool? Probably to shut water off and then dig out a plugged up pipe or wash chute?

It is from one of these, only much larger. Looks like someone made one for themselves or that is a replacement part. It isn't an original part for the machine. It was most likely cold twisted after it was removed, "just for fun".

Near to one of the phone exchanges down here that was built before cheap pnumatic drills is a rock full holes just like that, that the construction workers just gave up on and left in the yard. I always wondered how they got the holes looking so smooth and round.
