Ryobi Cordless 40v Hedge Trimmer.
Raving reviews, but I don't trust home deepballs.
Anyone have any experience with cordless chainsaws/trimmers? Are they good? Do you get decent life from one charge?

Generally they are inferior to their corded or gas powered cousins. Corded is the best power to weight ratio IMO but gas powered ones are easier to move around.

I see....I wonder though...cordless has no smog/gas, can turn on and off at a whim, and charges in 40mins.
Having two packs--is it possible to start one charging and using the other longer than 40mins so that when it's time to charge again, you are ready to go?
That's the real question.

My cordless hedge trimmer is great. Goes for a really long time before it dies.
It's petrol.

Bring as many batteries as you like, its still gonna be underpowered compared to a corded one.

dude buy the real Stihl thing not toys
If you have a trimmer that acceps attachments just get the hedge attachment

Don't use Ryobi for battery powered.. Always go EGO. They're the only ones I had good experience with.
Ive had a couple corded ones for over 20 years. i can't imagine that the batteries for what they make today will still be made in 5 years.
but if its just to get it done quick and easy probably a battery. but my corded one will chew threw those branches you probably should be trimming in the first place.

Outdoor power equipment calls for gas, and gas only. Electric equipment is going to be anemic to the point of uselessness. If you have enough trimming to warrant a power tool, you have enough to warrant a gas tool.
