Sure, the voltage coming out of the transformer will be around 12V but it'll be AC. The fan you want to run is presumably a DC fan. You'll need to slap some kind of a diode rectifier at the input and also a capacitor to smooth out the voltage.

If you really want to use that fan you could either get a laptop power supply (that could supply over 80 watts), get a PC power supply (these are pretty good efficient) or if you have some watts to spare from your computer power supply then I'd just run some wires from your computer to power this thing.

Yep. they use those in low voltage lighting like under cabinet LEDs. A bridge rectifier is probably all you need to spin that fan. Or save yourself the grief and find a 12vdc or 14vdc wall wart.

Nothing on the page indicates the fan's motor type. If it's a universal motor, then your power supply will work. You could just test it out right now. It's not like the fan would blow up or anything.

OP, all you need is a computer power supply or a wall plug like what's used on telephones, with the black box that is on the plug, and the specs need to be 12V DC, the higher the amp rating the better. It will only pull what it needs, so if you go up to 5 Amp, that's fine. If you only have 12V 500 mA, you may not have enough amperage to run it.

Protip: 120V motor fan would pull way, way more air and be more efficient.
