Hey /diy/ I'm currently in the process of building a hobby workshop.
Picture related is the draw-in roller of my Scheppach HM 1
It was surrounded with tape and is still quite soft to the touch.
Is this still acceptable or should I completely replace it?
What are woodworking forums and why would anyone post woodworking questions to /diy/?
You may get answers, but 4chan is not the best source.

Yes, let us assume OP is retarded and hasn't considered those options.
Yeah, looks like a pretty decent dildo.

It looks worn out and some of those rubbers when they get soft will turn into next to useless.

that would make a wonderful trench club
if you replace it, sell that to steampunk costplayers
Just try it out. If it works, then there is clearly no need to replace it.
I got a similar machine (also Scheppach) from my grandpa, the draw-in-roller were old and brittle, the "rubber" broke in the first use. I replaced the rubber with a clear PVC hose i had lying around, it works well enough.
