I'll probably re-release that story with less fuck-ups in the future once I'm finished on my current project.

I think the main problem is that it's wish fulfillment and not really a story. Everything mechanically resolves according to the plan set out at the beginning, sans complications. It's a litany of mere facts and desires, like a dead relative's old grocery list.

I remember your other story, seasteading ancap anon, and you'd most help yourself by removing yourself as protagonist from your fiction and removing your fiction from ancap heaven. Paradise is boring unless there's a snake.

Also, stop using commas to shoehorn extra independent clauses into sentences. For example, the sentence

That you view adding any central conflict to this "story" as unnecessary is really at the heart of the problem. There's no detectable thread of plot running through the piece. It describes and describes, all to the end foretold at the beginning. This is boring.

If you mean the minor dialogue exchange that amounts to nothing, then no, it really doesn't add tension. Supposing it did, you rapidly proceed to thwart even this "dramatic tension" by having the situation resolve itself soon thereafter.

Semicolons are typically used for two highly connected independent clauses. Many modern writers avoid them, though, because they're easy to misuse or overuse.

Commas are used for certain types of dependent clauses attached to some independent clause. They're also used to separate other clauses connected by a conjunction, as well as for lists.

You can find more exhaustive catalogs of usage with examples, especially for commas, if you just look them up. I'm not sure why you didn't do that in the first place. The critique fit in the thread, but this doesn't.
