The author was clearly a /d/eviant before ahead of his time. The books deal with a lot of transformation: Human, M2F, centaur, fish, plant, satyr, and minotaur, among many others, almost always at random, along with strong implications of interspecies sex, described as far as he could go and still be punished.

Mavra Chang is one of three main characters. She starts off human, then turns into a centaur to trap this guy Nathan Brazil, who's actually an alien whose job is to reset the universe if needed. The place they go to do that is the Well World, which they can only enter through the Well of Souls, which randomly transforms whoever enters into one of the species on the Well World.

Mavra lucks out and gets centaur again, Nathan goes straight to the human area, since he's special and doesn't change, and I think the villain ends up as a fish person's bride.

Somehow Nathan becomes a stag, fucks centaur Mavra, who ends up human somehow only to be captured by a race that invaded the human area. They decide she's a spy, and turn her into a beast of burden >>7397182 as punishment. I think she's stuck like that for a decade before the antagonist turns himself into a sex god and starts building his harem, at which point he decides to keep her like that.

Same here, especially if the transformations are slow, painful and invitable, with the victim somehow knowing what they're going to turn into but being unable to stop it.

For some reason I like the idea of REALLY slow transformations, taking months or even years, acting like a slow-moving cancer or a second puberty that forces the victim to deal with losing a little more of her humanity with every passing day.

I suppose that depends on how much womens' internal organs have changed, outside of their animal ears, tails and maybe snouts, and their fore arms & legs turning into animal limbs.

Reading Quest for the Well of Souls now. Mavra was half donkey for 20+ years. Like most things, it depends on how it is written. If the change is instantaneous but the description/comparison between old form and new form and ramifications of the change are explored it can be interesting. If it's just a throw away line and no real exploration then it's really uninteresting.

One of the best parts of animal transformations is how, at worst, a guy is just going to end up quickly fucking something he ordinary wouldn't want to (or wouldn't admit to wanting to), while the temptation for women to give into their growing base desires to fuck results in their lives being permanently being changed (even if their transformation is just temporary) as they're turned into breeding vats.

I sometimes think about how women would feel being turned into sows, forced to breed for a year or two, and then turned human again, knowing the dozens of piglets they've given birth to are still out there somewhere...maybe even on someone's dinner plate, at least mixing her DNA into hundreds of future generations of livestock...

I don't know how I'd handle it, personally. It'd definitely be a point of shame, for sure, remembering that for the rest of my life. I don't know how I'd deal with that memory being ever-present in my mind, forever.
