I do have an owner, and it's wonderful. We really keep it to mannerisms - more on the cuddly side than the protocol side. You could call it 24/7-ish, but really, it's more like a catperson than a full-on cat. Funny story, We started doing petplay well before we started dating, as she was allergic to cats, and I offered to be a proxy.

Sadly, the headband stuff is all I can use for ears. Boo for genetics. Still, another cat-like thing that my owner goes into gigglefits over is the way that I can move my ears independently! She lacks the ability to wiggle/move her ears at all, so she's fascinated by it.
