I saw a screenshot of some dev's game with radio buttons in twine, but I looked it up and apparently there's no radio macro in Twine 2, only in Twine 1? Is there a more complete documentation for Twine 2 somewhere?

I didn't get very far into messing with Harlowe, but I'd recommend Sugarcube. The documentation for the engine is thorough if it's a but light on explanations for some of the stuff. I'm a coding novice so I'm sure some of the stuff should be self explanatory.

Took me 4 attempts to get into that game. Easy break in process:

0. Get a house from the place in the trade square then go to the slums and you'll get an assistant.
1. go to the slave guild and take a contract (savescum until you get an assistant or maid contract). Assign your assistant to do all the laborious shit (cleaning, cooking, bathing, etc).
2. Get slave checked at the health place (can't remember the name).
3. Threaten your slave and explain her position every day, cast the auspex (?) spell and check her aura until her fear is 4/5. Her obedience should start to go up every day. Don't make her do anything she doesn't want to (sticking to fitness alone is usually best until she hits 0 obedience). If your slave has any points of spoiling, put her in her place and it'll drop quickly. Spam the put her in her place whenever you see it available.
4. Once obedience is 0, encourage her and make her do easy sex stuff (petting). As soon as she feels like she's done a 4 or 5 star job of something, give her a sun dress as a gift.
5. Fitness should be maxed by now and obedience should be around 4/5. You can start focusing on training the slave however you want now (towards being an assistant or maid if you took the correct contract). You can see the requirements for each slave type somewhere on your assistants page.

6. Repeat until you've got the process down and then go to the town centre in the whitewhatever place, youll find some people there offering "special contracts". Go to the slave market and buy the cheapest slave you can, get them checked at the medical centre and hope they're pregnant with a fiend. Savescum until you get a pregnant slave; when you do, rent out a fiend pen from the housing place. Wait for your slave to explode and you'll have a fiend. Train your assistant for now until she's maxed out on fiend sex.
7. Go to the slave market, buy a slave you like and get her health checked again. In one of the quarters is a place where you can get slave tattoos, go there and put a brand tattoo on your slave. Now train your slave to fit the requirements of the special contacts.
8. Hand in your fiend as soon as it's fully grown (its a special contract) and equip your new super op crown that lets you see the debug stats of slaves. Once you get this, you'll start to fully understand how everything works by checking slave stats and the game will become a cake walk.

Super unintuitive game and pretty tedious imo.

Really pissed at how long it took me to figure out the slaving process (no good guides exist). Hopefully you can get straight in anon. Happy slaving.

Here are some more tips:
save scum a lot. Your slave can randomly die or run away when you first get them for no reason.
To check requirements for the next slave grade, click the grade on your slaves avatar.
To improve "basic stats" send your slave to the golden cage as a reward whenever she gives a 4 star performance. Your slave will spoil fast so keep putting her in her place. If she's obedient enough enable the alarm rule and urinal rule, they will increase her basic stats iirc and stop her from being a spoiled brat.
To improve sex skills fast, do gang bangs from group sex. It improves like 6 different stats in penetration and group sex all at once.
If your slave is getting depressed again after you fixed her depression, stop forcing her to do things she doesn't want to and turn off the urinal rule if it's enabled.
Get fitness up to a+ for ALL slaves. It makes life so much easier. S+ is only useful for contracts that are long (c+ grade and above or special contracts).

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Hey, any code junkies here who know any as3/flash shit that might be able to help me out?

I've had a save system that's worked just fine for my game for a long while using simple SharedObject.data but as it turns out SharedObject.data is only really set up to handle simple numbers and string variables and shallow array clones.

Ever since I implemented custom classes, I keep the entities all inside a global Entity array. I figured that saving the array would save the entity data real simple, but when it loads all of the entities (the custom classes) have been converted to default objects but with the same properties. But because they've lost their serialization they can no longer function in the game as intended.

I just recently learned about the IExternalizable methods, which I still don't really have my head around it, but I'm going to try to use it to convert the data into a byteArrray and read write it that way for saving.

I was wondering is there an easier method to save and load an array full of object like custom classes outside of writing it like this shit

Turn-based semi-open RPG with sex combat set in modern times. Something along the lines of Night Games x CoC without all the furry.

Story premise is two supernatural factions (Celestials and Abyssals) are at war and have spilled through realities into your small town. You are tapped by an Earth-bound supernatural group (Eldritch) to aid in the fight. Only a handful of people have been tapped, and only those that have been specifically made aware of the trouble can see what's going on.

Ideally, the player's sliding purity/corruption gains their favor with the factions (corruption for siding with Abyssals, purity for Celestials, and the closer you are to neutral, the better your relationship with the Eldritch). Depending on which faction you favor, you help each one who have taken up around town. For instance, a powerful Abyssal lieutenant might have fortified an old abandoned call center.

Thinking about cosmetics/ Inventory.

At first was thinking about a drag and drop with item slots.(like diablo) Then I thought about how to handle cosmetics. Do I make them one item that can be dyed with items. Do I let the player change item color whenever they want. Is each item different with each color. At the moment there is about 64 colors for clothing. Does the player find shirt style b, color #38?

Right now I'm leaning towards cosmetics being unlockables from combat. You win a fight unlock a couple random cosmetics with a random colors. Next time the players at a "warddrobe" they'll be able to access all the items they unlocked.

I want the game to be realistic but with different colors I have like 2000 items at the moment. Winning fights will "always" give loot. And also make them purchaseable if the rng gods aren't giving you what you're looking for.

There are many ways you could make an interesting multiplayer /d/ game.

This isn't it, at all, at least going by the brief description you've given.

Here's some essentials:

1. If it's just functioning as a themed chatroom, it's not really a game.
2. Don't require players to log in unless you specifically need to save data specific to each player.
3. Allow players to interact with each other and/or the world in some novel way. The game state needs to give a shit about what players are doing.

Here's some ideas for games or gameplay mechanics.

1. It's X with permadeath but you create a new character via breeding with another player, the resulting offspring becoming your heir and hence next character if/when you die.
2. All online players actively have to work together to fulfil some complex management task that requires them to actually communicate. For instance, running a Brothel, with each player being one employee. Similar to SS13 perhaps?
3. If the game involves a lot of character customisation, allowing players to see each-others characters or transfer characters between individual worlds can be enough.
4. For your specific game design, consider whether you can merge this with social engineering style gameplay to select players that are then put into stockades.

Thanks anon for the feedback. Definitely looking for the game state to care about individual players. I am wanting to strike a balance between multiplayer interaction between players, and the ability to ruin someone else's experience. And definitely not looking to make a glorified chatroom.

I'll have to sketch out some ideas in a doc and come back with something more concrete.

Might want to look at Multi-User Dungeons like HellMOO for an example of what a multiplayer game involving some sexual elements looks like. It's a MUD so it's very simplistic graphics wise and the game isn't focused primarily on sex, but it does have those elements. I think a /d/ version would just be like HellMOO except built for and around sex. Grid-based movement, stats, libido levels, etc. A lot of the extraneous stuff that doesn't involve sex can be removed. And of course the setting can be different.

SharedObjects should encode class data as part of serializing an object. tl;dr hidden away in the background the object is paired with a path to the class required to recreate it (flash.utils.getQualifiedClassName). During deserialization, this path should be getting used to create a new instance of the object required, and then all the properties should get filled from the stored data. This all falls apart if you want to drop/rename properties though. I am not a fan of IExternalizable for a couple of reasons, but I've been fucking around and have the start of something that should operate close to how C# does things, using metadata properties.

You can use flash.utils.describeType() to get a list of all of the "things" present on a class, but it has a couple of limitations/weird issues. It also shits back XML which is a mindfuck to deal with. Theres an alternative to describeType() that seems faster and shits back JSON as a set of dynamic objects (thus making it about 800 times easier to peek into and figure things out).

Without giving you literally everything (mainly because its a lot of fucking code), https://gist.github.com/anonymous/4fd52c42e0306de88735a96fb68690f0 should get you started. The goal is to convert all of your custom classes into base AS3 types (boolean/int/uint/number/string/array/object) in a way that can be reversed and versioned (you can easily add a version id to any object and then run additional code to do whatever changes you need to upgrade things on an object by object basis). Provisio: this is still all test-level shit.

Why do it like this? Mainly control, and the ability to get in the middle of the process that AS3 would nominally enforce using its built in mechanisms and to have a middle step between opaque bytes and final class data.

I honestly haven't really even looked at depression until the slave is at obedience 0. Once they're at 0, encourage them every two or three days and make sure you hand out reasonable rewards. If your slave refuses to do anything they're gonna get punished which makes them real sad, so definitely try and avoid that. Depression should naturally fix itself as the slave starts to feel happier.

Try talking to the slave about everything, sometimes you can find out stuff that might upset them (diseases) or things that might make them happy (eg that they want to be a maid or some shit).

Oh and I would HIGHLY recommend buying the vibe from the iron rose place (?), once your slave hits 6 or so obedience turn on the vibe rule. Haven't seen any negatives from it yet.

Even more stuff: always use messages as your first low tier reward of the day (if you can), it gives your slave one extra energy. You might run out of energy before your slave doing this so you might want to make your assistant teach your slave stuff when your energy runs out (she's better than you at some stuff anyway).

This is a new game I have started. It's basically a life sim with some /d/ content. Check out the image for the pre-alpha screens.

Thanks to some government interference in an experiment you find yourself gender swapped or changed into some human-like and they blackmail you into doing certain tasks for them.

The first few versions will be pretty vanilla when it comes to sex and fetishes but the mechanism for change in my game allows all kinds of creatures and things. Maybe even an underground society for people who have undergone major changes.

I plan for the game to be played how you want with multiple solutions to the tasks. Want to seduce and sex your way through? That's an option. Do you desperately try to hold on to your virginity? I want that to be an option too.

This is all between trying to keep up with your normal life (or not).

HHS+ (Garbage, and the scenes are probably still placeholders, but you can technically make the students into traps and fuck them if you want. It does absolutely nothing).

Finally, it would be shit for a while until enough of a catalog of material is written out. Procedural content is best used tastefully in certain features, not as the core experience.

I also wonder about trying to manage a community in a MUD game. I'd probably be pretty dictatorial. Not sure that'd really be a problem though, given /d/ small size. Heh.

I'd be fine with it. It is however an artificial limitation and might even make it harder to dev the game as compared to even limited graphics. It's especially restrictive on the UI, essentially having none. It literally is just a command line command line interface.

If you want to keep it to ASCII but still go better than endless lines of text and text commands for everything, you can try having graphics similar to roguelikes. Like Dwarf Fortress or it's far prettier cousin Ultima Ratio Regum, where ASCII is used to provide a UI. Then you can provide a minimap, health bars, an active list of players in a location, a chat log separate from command log, graphical inventory etc...

I would at the very least suggest having support for UI, even if it is just made up of ASCII. Making it coherent requires at least some graphic design sense, but the alternative is simply a worse game. Perhaps worse enough to turn off a large number of players.

You can also look at Initium for what is essentially a MUD buried under a web client GUI. This uses sprites for equipment, monsters and locations.

Good sandboxy ideas.

Gathering and crafting system, with tons of vanity customisation for equipment, furniture, clothing, sex toys? Vanity is true endgame.

Property ownership. Have a house. Open a shop. Open a brothel. etc.

Tons of different races, to make the breeding mechanics more interesting. Genetics for Futa would be needed. Perhaps inclusion of semi-realistic pregnancy mechanics to get that fetish in there too.

There really is no need to have a PVP focus in a sandbox. Focusing on roles outside the standard "generic adventurer" is the way to go.

Determine what mechanics are essential to have exist at first public version. Things that need to exist because otherwise, implementation would require you to wipe existing content. For instance, if you use a genetics system for player breeding, the genetic code needs to be implemented at first public version otherwise characters created prior to it's implementation won't have genes.

Need to ensure the skeleton is very strong before you start adding the raw content.

Excessive exposure to Ovikari can "atune you to their pheremones" like you said, it'd be simple to add a trait to the player character and have that trigger unique encounters with the ovikari and increase the chances of being attacked. I also like the idea of continued exposure slowly changing the host body.

Their body can get better at incubating, hold more at one time and maybe gain certain abilities from it all. Eventually their mutation could cause them to be an ovikari brood mother of sorts, generating the eggs on their own and just needing to be fertilized to grow them
Maybe if the character has a cock, they can inject eggs into others. Stuff like that?


I'll certainly add it to the list. Most of it would be easy to include.
