I can only give you my take on it. When I first realized vore was a thing and that I liked it, I disliked fatal and digestion; very much so. Maybe...five years later? I just started liking digestion.

I think it's just escalating the entire thing, you get bored of vanilla so you try to spice things up. Fatality just adds another layer of complexity to the entire thing and I think it probably plays into the dom/sub aspect. The pred has complete control and owns the prey whether they are willing or unwilling.

Like anything else you'll meet people who like both or only one of the options, vore has a ton of very big turn offs to all sorts of people, there is no 'right' answer. It's just a fetish which thankfully cannot be acted out in reality.
