I'm loving all the new Yui stuff, and Sayaka's route is turning out pretty great, just too short. I kinda wish that there was more stuff to do with the device in the Connie route, but it was still good nontheless. I've been playing through everything like a madman since this version released so I'll probably write a wall of autism later as feedback, but for now I'm just worried that you're including too many options. There were already a lot of choices left with no writing at all in the previous version, but now you have even more.

Not only will it take a very very long time to write all potential outcomes to a satisfactory level, in this kind of game I feel that there might be too much overlap in the "gimmick" of each (fairly significant) choice which makes them redundant unless an individual finds that particular character extremely attractive. In other words I'm not sure it was wise putting in so many choices in, say, who you transform into with magic unless someone had a very clear idea of what theme that potential route is going to play into so it's not just another body swap route with a different character sprite.

Antics (magic with friends): Keep not doing stuff with the book until you can't.

Other paths include:
Abby: Get the remote confiscated then find your way to her.
Mistaken (Sayaka): Get the remote confiscated: Then explain to Kat.
Kat: Get Don't get the remote stolen, then explain things to Kat.
Zoey: Don't get the remote stolen, then wait till it shows up someday at lunch

Yeah just marathon the new content. Fun stuff.

Impressions: 2.0 has significant less identity death fuel/body swap "i'm stuck!" scenarios that 1.0 had so if your looking forward to that then your gonna be dissapointed. Sayaka/Abbey/Zoey new stuff has a bit of that, but not much compared to rest of release. The new Mina stuff did not make the cut either which was the ultimate identity death fuel in 1.0. Being trapped as Natsumi did not make the cut either.

What you do get is a bunch of vanilla and light hearted "I can switch back" swaps.

Connie and Yui route which is the largest new addition is full of that. Leona is the same, but not as fully written. Kat route is less dark too with the swaps.

Good stuff overall, but different stuff

I notice a lot of the choices lead to temporary branches which eventually reconverge. As opposed to press switch, where every minor choice opens up an entirely different route.

In other words, the authors of this game are sane, and not COMPLETE LUNATICS, intent on making a game so insanely branched that, if ever fully completed, would be longer than any other book ever written.

Which was kind of disappointing, in a way.

I'm totally crazy for mind control, hypnosis, those sort of things, and it was really fun (on paper) to work on Mina. I unfortunately was working really, and I mean really inefficiently, and it burned me out. Ever since then I've just been a part-time programmer and server host.

The route with the MC and connie williams switching bodies has the MC acting a little bit out of character. He's typically a bit more timid but gets inexplicably forward/adventurous near the start of the route. The point where MC turns into a girl and falls into transformed-connie's lap at the restaurant feels a bit contrived and a bit non-sensical; it works okay, but it could've had better foreshadowing that connie has a thing for klutzy big breasted women now - or even just has a thing for women in general.

Then it really gets out of character for both when connie does a complete 180 on her previous inhibitions about fucking a student. It's believable for it to happen when she gets drunk, but it escalates too quickly, and she should've come to her senses when she swapped bodies and wasn't drunk anymore. There needs to be more of an emotional spark for the situation. Something to get them both to behave irrationally - like MC leading (accidentally or not) connie on, and then stopping when she's getting flustered. Then she's aroused and drunk but he doesn't want to bang so she does something stupid and uses the device to basically rape him. Either don't have them swap bodies until afterwards, or have them both drunk so that connie's conscience is still inhibited by alcohol. Once connie's sobered up she should be extremely guilty, like she was at the restaurant - it shouldn't require the MC forcing her to be guilty using the device, doing that actually really hurts her character because it basically throws out one of her pre-established character traits.

I'd give that path a B so far. It's okay, the moral quandaries aren't bad, some parts are even a bit funny, and there's no huge leaps in logic that don't make sense; the reader isn't treated like a moron and typical cliches/tropes aren't followed when in other VN's they would be, but generally speaking stuff happens just a little too quickly and doesn't make as much sense as it could.

From what I can recall, they wrote her to be strict, but there wasn't much hinting at her being irrational/cruel - and that makes even less sense for her to act that way to her own kid. Maybe if the MC were a bastard child from another woman, but then you lose the incest fetish. But otherwise it needs to be more clearly established that she has a mean streak to her, not just tough love, but genuine cruelty to people who cross her.

It's going somewhere dark, imo

She got waaaay too attached waaay too quickly, and she immediately started using you - for example when she shuffles over and kisses in the cafeteria only because sasayuka or whatever walks by. That's not morally right. That level of attachment that fast combined with using your partner for social status fighting screams C R A Z Y.

It also ruined the fun of the chase. She hitched up with you way too quickly to make it feel like an accomplishment - makes sense if she already has feelings (which it seems pretty clear that she does), but it did mean I felt like chasing after other girls while keeping kat on the side and not giving her much attention. She basically got boring - the sexual/relationship anxiety was completely gone in the span of one night.

Or to put it another way, Kat acts like an excitable puppy that falls 100% in love in a single day, but with a dark side hinting that she doesn't actually care about you so much as she wants to use you to give the middle finger to her social peers. In my experience, girls like that are extreme hot/cold and jump between guys every other week... I'm not really sure that fits with kat's behaviour beforehand, but the route could be used as a way to show this progression in kat's character (or put a stop to it).

I'm not saying that's necessarily the wrong direction for the character or route, just that it's what I'm seeing happen with it so far.

Could it be a buildup to something dark? Yes, but honestly, I doubt it. Not every path must be sucked into some deep mystery. I just think Kat is a bit of a prankster and sometimes doesn't really know what she truly wants. I expect a few interpersonal issues, but a mostly placid romp of good fun and romance.

People who have been good friends with you for years don't generally do that sort of thing, and behind the veneer of trickery that she displays in every single route, you always can tell that Kat cares about John, and would never hurt him, only embarrass him.

They're high-schoolers. They get giddy when they hook up for the first time. That's very, very natural.

Do I expect Kat to accidentally take it too far at some point? Absolutely, and there's a lot of potential for that to be used to kickstart a much spicier sexual relationship between the two.

I would like a path where Kat and John become partners in "crime," doing sexy stuff to the people at their school, and I think that it's a distinct possibility.

The way Kat is behaving isn't conducive to a good relationship and she's not acting in a mature way with John, in fact she's being a really immature teenager, which is what she is. That is what has been shown by the current writing - all I've done is point out what's been done and where it could go. If you're the author, then at this point you obviously never even considered the specific action I latched onto as mattering at all. I don't think that's a good thing for your writing in all honesty, but I don't really give a damn about it.

If the desired progression is towards a wacky prankster couple head over heels for each other, then that angle needs more development.

I don't really know how to summarize this more simply; Kat is immature, she isn't being morally responsible with John and she got really clingy really fast. None of that is a BAD thing. None of that says bad writing.

I'm not concerned whatsoever what direction the characters go in, so long as the character development is CONSISTENT. That is by far the most important thing to follow - consistency. Being consistent requires being able to recognize how a character's actions reflect their personality. This is where I'm most concerned with the route, and ignoring / dismissing character personality cues (worse, not even recognizing them at all) does not bode well for consistency.

The love potion bit is great but had zero consequences and ended almost as soon as it started. The part where you trick Kiyoshi into thinking he's Connie is great, but again, it had no consequence and ended right away. Seems like there's a ton of situations that are just used for a quick gag instead of something sexual. I think that's the problem I have with ST when comparing it to PS, it just doesn't sexualize the situations enough or at all. The transformations and changes in ST seem like mere distractions along some interpersonal story that doesn't really hinge on them.

I want to see how things would go in the Leona route because it seems like there's a chance that the mental changes that happened there will last long because John isn't in control of the remote. I don't mind the lack of sexual content so much as the lack of anticipation of sexual content, followed by satisfying sexual content to that.

Like the scene where yui turned into that one teacher (I can't remember her name) and started smothering John in her breasts - that's good anticipation buildup. But then it mostly goes nowhere. It doesn't necessarily have to go somewhere right THEN, but it's gotta be somewhere, and the masturbation scene that followed was just too little followup for me. Hopefully if more gets added the entire scene isn't just forgotten.

But I wouldn't want the game to be simplified to the point that I might as well just download the CG's of all the sex scenes, either.

It needs character progression, which you're not going to get with just sex scenes, but it also needs sex scenes. There's some real gems of personality in there, but it probably needs some revisions to address Connie's personality consistency and the tone shifts within the route, but it was fun overall. Yui's routes seem good, but the Rei path felt rushed and incomplete for a major route.

Chiming in as another voice who likes what Yui is becoming. Keep up the good work.

I don't want this to sound patronizing, but as another writer who transitioned into lewd and still doesn't feel really comfortable writing the sexytimes, don't write the scenes in a vacuum. If you're in a situation like you are that you're able to flesh out a character (which you are) lewd scenes are fantastic catalysts for character development that your readers are going to find incredibly hot.

Being honest, the primary draw for this medium is the lewdm but it's not the fucking that people are here for. They can get that from any one of thousands of hentai. It's the character(s) fucking that they really want.

Ideally, for someone like Yui, you're satisfying the horny reader initially by getting the lewd out there early in the route. Just early enough to still be a hook, but not so early to make it feel cheap or "free". Then, you draw back and tease them in with character development that edges closer and hints twoards another future "payoff" that's a character-centric fucking passage.

For example, because Yui is ashamed of being so repressed, she might zaps herself to have lowered inhibitions and then initiates on John. She's doing all sort of lewd things she learned from Maria, openly confessing her feelings during the scene— but afterwards when she's not remote-zapped, she's embarrassed about what she said and the whole situation becomes an event where the characters can talk about how she really feels and then eventually progresses to dating and the characters progressing through more traditional relationship that has a "romantic" hookup that feels like a true climax (hah!) to the whole route.

The important part is that this isn't some isolated incident of fucking between any two yahoos, but that the event involves the character that you're been building and changing. Tying the event into previous events. Letting their personality shine through their actions.

Hey guys. Writer of the Connie path here. Thanks for all the feedback! You guys might be fapping to our game, but us writers are fapping to the feedback about the game.

If you don’t know, I was apparently the wunderkind of 2.0 (even though I think my writing sucks and that I’m a hack). I joined the project back in March and had over half of Connie written before the end of June. In the space of a few months I was able to write further into the story than any of the other writers. I might not be the best writer, but I have an incredible amount of autism and can write fast.
That being said, what route do you (the /d/ anons) want to see me work on for the next major release? I have two outlines for routes I’m keen on writing, and I need your help to decide which one to write. I plan to turn the lewdness and player-controlled slow mental alterations up to 11 for both.

A new route on the magic side of things, Brad’s route focuses on him being transformed into a petite girl and partially merged with a succubus after a summoning gone wrong. Because of his succubus tendencies, Brad needs to masturbate and have sex a whole lot, or else the demon inside of him will come to the surface and take control of his body. Expect plenty of shame and embarrassment for Brad as (s)he has to deal with day-to-day life stuck in a body that gives constant sexual urges, the role change with Zoey that comes from turning from a big brother into a big sister, and a slow giving falling in love (and giving into lust) with John.

A continuation of the Alien Sayaka route in 2.0 where you aren’t turned back into John by Katrina. After a fight with Katrina fueled by his new personality culminates with her refusing to turn John back (in order to teach him a lesson), John is faced with two choices: use his new group of “friends” to steal the remote back from Katrina, or to surrender to his mental programming and new implanted identity. Whichever choice he makes, John is going to lose something important. Along the way, John slowly starts to fall in love with Sayaka-turned-John, partly out of romantic feelings (Katrina programmed Sayaka to be her ideal version of John, which makes her an amazing boyfriend), and partly out of jealousy towards Katrina. A love triangle the likes of which you’ve never seen before ensues.

That being said, I voted for Sayaka. No offense, but the succubus idea sounds kinda generic. A lot of TG fiction has this trope of a guy becoming female, fighting the desire for dick and yet still giving in while claiming "I-I don't actually like this". At this point it's a bit tiring to read and doesn't really make for an interesting story because the inner conflict of the protagonist usually ends up coming across like a weak pretext to advance a thin plot and resolves in a predictable manner.

The Sayaka idea in contrast seems to have an actual conflict. Love triangles never get old because what exactly happens depends greatly on what the people in the triangle are like, so at least some amount of variety is pretty much guaranteed. The resolution is also more open, esp. in a VN where the player can make decisions, which helps maintaining suspense until the ending.

That's all based on your description, so my assessment may be completely off. I'm happy to see that Sayaka enjoys a very comfortable lead at the moment, but still, you should do what you want.

The Brad route just seems terribly generic and boring, I guess the whole idea of a romance with his character just seems unappealing because first of all, he's hardly developed and secondly, it seems like he'll be given a completely new personality anyway.

For the Sayaka route, you have a similar problem. There's a love triangle romance, but it's over this completely artificial John. I just don't see the appeal. Furthermore it seems out of character for Katrina to do the things you proposed to make her doing. This love triangle route you're proposing seems devoid of any real romance.

If you want a romantic drama route, I suggest that you just let it happen with John without any personality changes. He's a boring character but maybe you can come up with some scenario where even an alpha bitch can fall in love with a simple guy. Then maybe you can make Sayaka's personality appealing and sympathetic throughout all this despite her bitchiness and have the reader fall in love with her so you can have a cutesy vanilla route where they return back to their old bodies and go out with each other.

If you want to play up the alpha bitch thing, then make her just forget about Katrina and John and have her pursue some other character where you can be more flexible. This would be ideal if you want to write something more sexual in nature.

I think enough time of Sayaka's route has been spent being a bitch to Katrina's circle of friends and trying to just continue that will be boring and monotonous and present nothing new. I mean, I guess we haven't seen Sayaka be a bitch -directly- to Katrina, but would that really be worth writing a whole route for? Sayaka's route has been my favorite so far and I don't find that to be an interesting direction for it.

I really wanted a 'stay a girl, ask her out' option on the Connie route. ;_;

I personally voted for Mistaken Identity, given that there's already a bunch of content for it and my love for the April route in Press Switch, but both ideas do sound fairly interesting!

A suggestion i've got is when John!Sayaka gets the device back with the help of Sayaka's friends, they clearly do some mind control stuff with John's friends. Either make them practically worship them or alternatively (and a bit out of character) make them see the way they do, effectively making them also have the bitch type personality. You could also add GB stuff to the latter option to please the masses in need of GB content.

My complaints in both in this game and in Press Switch is you never really see the main character get to have a lot of fun, it's mainly someone else using and directing the changes. but my personal suggestion is the love triangle is boring and I vote that as Sayaka in the days whle you're trapped in her form the constant pampering and worship starts to cause you to genuinely believe that you're the best, prettiest bitch at school, and causes her personality to override yours, HARD. After reading the chart, I was pleased there was a 'love slave' ending, and tried going for it.

Obviously this is considered a bad ending, but I still felt sorry it ended so abruptly.
