Hey /d/, I've come to you for advice. I'm working on a corruption themed CYOA and I was wondering if you could help me make sure I didn't leave an option out.

The idea behind the CYOA is that the person has to chose an item to help them out of a situation, but that item/thing is cursed to corrupt the user and the item allows the user to corrupt others.

So far I have:
1. Demon summoning tome. Demonic corruption, and general corruption of others. User will have the option to fall and become a demon.

2. Symbiote. Infects user and uses hormonal rewards to influence the user towards corruption. User can "infect" others and eventually form a hive.

3. A gem of telepathy. Using this coffers all sorts powers, but the more the user embraces the power the less they view humans as equals. This goes towards a puppetmaster route where the user can corrupt others by simply changing their personality or memories.

After these three I am left wondering, is there another type of corruption and path I am leaving out?

Maybe it would help if I pitched it this way: I want the user to be given access to something that corrupts them while using gifted power. The user will maintain an active knowledge of what using the power does to them, but they are encouraged and rewarded each time they give and/or attempt to corrupt others in a similar way.

The options so far for types of corruption:
1. Magic/Demons/Demonic Transformation
2. Symbiote/Biological/Hive Control
3. Mental Powers/Lack of regard for actions/Turn people into puppets or pets because user no longer recognizes people's humanity

Beyond those three, it there any other type of corruption that is different from those listed?

I've always been a fan of the idea of social corruption. Like someone is kidnapped and taken and placed into a wealthy harem for some rich asshole who pays for them to be surgically modified to fit their tastes. Does anyone know a corruption themed h-game or visual novel featuring Corruption in the same style as the Village of Nightmare games, where the corruption changes the girls appearances a lot?

I don't mean something like the Venus Blood series or a lot of super hero/tokusatsu themed hentai where they just get an evil version of their clothes. I'm looking for things more in the vein of hairstyle changes, skin tone change, tattoos, piercings and so on.
It doesn't need to be a full blown demon transformation either, just something where the corruption is more than a costume change, because I'm fucking tired of those.

Also, Yami no Koe is a very similar concept to the picture you posted. It's a series of games where you corrupt a number of people (usually about 5 or 6 people) into more sexually "awakened" versions of themselves. Most of the games have more than one path you can take in this regard.
For example, the girl in this picture can either become a sadist dominatrix (pictured) or a masochistic exhibitionist.

I actually HAVE YnK Zero, and if I ever found out how, I've always sworn it'd be my first translation job (since I've played it so much I have it all translated at LEAST in my head)

Personally I find Zero and the first game to be the easiest to understand, followed by the "Sayoko" spin-off (which doesn't have branching routes and is kind of a let-down)
2, 3, and the spin-off Mabunroku are all pretty good, but they're not AS good and have kind of esoteric means of progression and I actually needed a guide to get through 2.
2 and 3 are also more or less sequential sequels, with 2 being about the character K taking over a school and 3 being another character needing to bust K out of the school when she gets trapped by magic that's never really explained AFAIK.

mentioned, it just has the largest cast. There's not much variety among the changes, with there being at least 2 dickgirls and 2 dominatrices (one of which is one of the dickgirls!).

1, 3, and 0 had smaller casts but had a lot more variation, with each character having 2 different paths (except for 2 of the dudes in the first game that had only one path each. Something that was present in 2 as well (with most of the male characters being classified as "accessories" for the girls).
Zero was really the first time a male character had more than one path that didn't involve turning into a crossdresser or woman.
Hell, even K, the arguable main character of the whole series (since she's a focal character in 0, 1, 2, and 3) used to be a dude. Though the circumstances of that are a bit...weird.
Let's just say K herself is DEFINITELY female, and Kei, who she used to be, is DEFINITELY male.

It sucks we won't get the ending, but he actually DID give a reason for the massive stall, and I think it connects to the reason he quit:

Which leads me to believe that it was burnout, plain and simple. If an author begins stressing about some aspect of their work then they become exceptionally prone to quitting.
Compounded with a vehement disagreement with your audience and/or editors (which doujin authors don't have) about the direction of your work, and you have a recipe for extreme burnout and disillusionment. It happened with J.D Salinger, and something similar happened with Pink Question (creators of games like Mahou Shoujo Nayuta, pictured in this threat)

In addition, it's just as likely that he found a vanilla job doing something else and wants to cut all ties with his past work. Which happens with porn artists a LOT. Not everyone wants their past on display.

The best bet, the ABSOLUTE best bet you have is to ask 2chan, and use something like the Internet Wayback Machine to look at his blog and hope the contact info is there somewhere and that he's still using it.

But, if my theories and experience are correct, the best you'll get is a bunch of しらない and "Return to Sender" messages.

Exactly this. Thematically, it was all set up for a happy ending. But in practice, he had stacked the odds so heavily against the heroines that it would have required Force Awakens levels of bullshit to have that happy ending happen.

Like you surmise; the majority of readers wanted a Mikezoutei-style bad ending, which he really didn't. No matter what happened, it would have disappointed people, so he just chose to stop.

Well the real problem was that he developed the story poorly to begin with. I mean, I stopped reading somewhere around chapter 6 or 7 if memory serves, and haven't gone back since, so I might be talking out of my ass at this point, but as I recall it was essentially just one girl after another getting corrupted, with new girls coming in to replace them and angst about all their personal reasons for wanting to defeat Zofa. Not only was it repetitive, it also completely missed the point of a corruption story that's supposed to come through with a happy ending—there has to be some common thread of hope, some way to or some person that can resist. It was exactly because he kept stringing it out longer and longer without any clear picture of where the story was going that he wrote himself into a corner.

Yeah, you're missing 2/3rds of it, back in c7 it was still ok in terms of plot stability.
